HOW DOES VESSEL REMOVAL WORK?

The light heats up the vessel, causing
the vessel to either instantly collapse
(vessel blanching), or causing the
blood to coagulate within the vessel
(vessel darkening).


Over the following 1-3 weeks, the
damaged vessels are absorbed
naturally by the body so little or no
trace of the original lesion remains.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Typically you will need 1-5 sessions, depending on the type of lesion.

HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED A SESSION?

You will need a session every 4-6 weeks roughly. You then may need a maintenance top up roughly every 3 months.

IS VESSEL REMOVAL PAINFUL?

At The Laser Co we provide a Cryo Cooler with all our IPL treatments to allow for optimum comfort.

You may feel warmth within the skin whilst the treatment is being carried out, however; the Cryo cooler will take that away. The Cryo cooler will be used to blow cold air on the treatment area pre, post & during the treatment.

The Cryo Cooler can reach a maximum temperature of -40 degrees.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME WITH IPL VESSEL REMOVAL?

There isn’t any downtime per say, however; with Vessel removal, you may see the vessel coagulate (darken) or you may see the vessel disappear.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS WITH IPL VESSEL REMOVAL?

You will see erythema, which is redness to the skin due to adding heat to the area for the treatment to be effective.

CAN YOU TREAT ALL SKIN TYPES?

We can currently only offer IPL to Fitzpatrick Skin Types 1-3
