HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

When it comes to professional tattoos, you will be looking at roughly 8-12 sessions.

Amateur tattoos are typically around 1-6 sessions.

Cosmetic tattoos can be typically 4-8 treatments.

HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED A SESSION?

You will need a tattoo removal session every 6-12 weeks.

Laser tattoo removal works by your body’s defence system removing the shattered pieces of pigment (the ink). Therefore, the further into the treatments we get, the longer the gap becomes so it allows for your body to take away the pigment (the ink) and fade the tattoo as much as possible until the next session.

IS LASER TATTOO REMOVAL PAINFUL?

Most patients describe the sensation as similar to a hot pin prick or the flick of an elastic band. Whilst this is mildly uncomfortable, most people tolerate treatment well.

We also use a cryo cooler that blows cold air at -40°C to keep the area comfortable during the whole session.

CAN YOU TREAT ALL SKIN TYPES?

For black tattoos we can treat all skin types. When it comes to certain coloured tattoos such as red ink, we can only offer this wavelength to Fitzpatrick skin types 1-3.

IS THE PRE/POST AFTERCARE IMPORTANT?
