HOW DOES SKIN REJUVENATION WORK?
Light is absorbed within the dermis and improves skin texture and tone (i.e.: pigmented & vascular irregularities, general sun damage). An added benefit is increased collagen production.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
You will need roughly 3-6 sessions of skin rejuvenation.
HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED A SESSION?
For skin rejuvenation, we would look at doing a session every 4 weeks.
IS SKIN REJUVENATION PAINFUL?
At The Laser Co we provide a Cryo Cooler with all our IPL treatments to allow for optimum comfort.
You may feel warmth within the skin whilst the treatment is being carried out, however; the Cryo cooler will take that away. The Cryo cooler will be used to blow cold air on the treatment area pre, post & during the treatment.
The Cryo Cooler can reach a maximum temperature of -40 degrees.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME WITH SKIN REJUVENATION?
There isn’t any downtime per se, however; as we target pigmentation with the skin rejuvenation session, you will notice the pigment will go darker after the treatment and crust . This will then naturally fall off.
We also target vessels within the skin rejuvenation session, therefore you may see vessel either disappear or coagulate which means they may darken.
ARE THERE AY SIDE EFFECTS TO SKIN REJUVENATION?
You will see erythema, which is redness to the skin due to adding heat to the area for the treatment to be effective.
With Vessel removal, you may see the vessel coagulate (darken) or you may see the vessel disappear.
With pigmentation removal you will see the lesion darken, this is because the pigmented lesion has absorbed the light.
You will see micro-crusting of the lesion which will occur over the following days.
The lesion will eventually ‘flake-off’ to leave an area without excess
pigmentation.
CAN YOU TREAT ALL SKIN TYPES?
At the minute we can only treat Fitzpatrick Skin Types 1-3 with IPL for Skin Rejuvenation.
